“What I found at Masca…” is a series of short posts with things and stories that show us the Masca from offstage, be it objects in the storage room, plants in the garden, the more hidden people of the theater…
I found a drum installation here, on one of my visits to the warehouse, which was used to illustrate the background in performances. In the video, Gabi Albu, the architect who led the Set Recycling Workshop at Masca, explains how the mechanism was taken up in advertising, and Stefan Livadaru, the theater’s Deputy Director, shows us how the installation works.
Gabi talks about the shanks in the video – the shims are permanent installations on the stage of a theater on which lights are suspended and with which you can maneuver the scenery.
