TOTO!

by Tim Crouch

About the show

TOTO! tells the story of the deep and touching bond between 12-year-old Effy and her dog Toto. Tim Crouch’s play explores this special connection to talk about what keeps us afloat at times when the world around us is falling apart: about courage, love, friendship, the importance of (listening) to (ourselves) and, most of all, the sounds of dawn, darkness, loneliness, heartbreak and unforeseen hopes.

Because her mother is in hospital, Effy ends up living with her aunt and uncle in a building where pets are not allowed. So she has to resort to all sorts of ingenious solutions to hide Toto from her relatives and neighbors. The only one who knows her secret is her new boyfriend, Noah, but Toto can’t stay hidden for long.

Warning: TOTO! is happening in your imagination. Spectators will be equipped with headphones for an immersive sound experience.
